Lady Pirates Walk Lady Dogs Back to Star City

The Dover Lady Pirates started out on top with Dover's number thirty-two scoring the first points of the game. Number twenty-two of Star City committed the first foul of the game and soon scored the first basket for Star City from the free-throw line. By the end of the first quarter, the score was tied at thirteen all. In the second quarter Dover went ahead to stay; they outscored the Lady Dogs by four points for a half-time score of twenty-five to twenty-one. In the second half, the Lady Pirates continued their winning ways by matching the scoring power of the Lady Dogs point for point. At the end of the third, it was Dover, thirty-five to thirty. In the fourth quarter Dover, kept their heads in the game and kept the lead. Coming out on top were the Lady Pirates by the final score of fourty-seven to fourty-three.The leading scorer for Dover Lady Pirates was Christie Shuffield with twenty. Leading scorers for the Star City Lady Dogs were Blair Wilkerson with fourteen and Kesh Adams with thirteen.
