The Colts got the tip and seemed to have an advantage in the first quarter. When #4 ran two coast to coast in a row and #00 hit two threes it seemed that they were going along well. However, Fordyce echoed their three with one of their own by Darrin Brazil. The first quarter score was 18-14; Rivercrest.

In the second the Redbugs came back with a slam dunk by Brazil and a three by Brandon Jones. Also #00 from Rivercrest wasn't through with his three point streak, and he added another to his belt. There were various bodies littering the floor through all of the first half, because, though the referees were calling fair, they were not calling much. The half time score was tied at 28.

In the third quarter the refs started calling more fouls than before, but the players were still allowed a considerable amount of bumping and holding. # 34 for the Colts hit two free-throws as did Kevin Williams of Fordyce. . Manny Reynolds swished a three for the Redbugs and his team-mate, Kriston Belin decided that if you can't go through the defender, go over them! Third quarter score: 47-46; Fordyce.

In the fourth quarter the Redbugs pulled away from the Colts with a behind-the-back pass from Brazil to Williams for two, and a SLAM by Brazil. The Colts became desperate and resorted to fouling. However, this only helped pad the Redbug's lead with free-throws. The final score was 76-59 ; with Fordyce on top.
