2-liter soft drink bottle Rockets

Each spring Mrs. Edith Thurman's Eighth Grade Science Classes build model rockets using 2-liter soft drink bottles. The students design, construct, and decorate their models to reflect their own individuality. The rockets are launched using an air-powered launcher. The path of travel is measured and the rockets which fly the farthest are declared the winners.
